Pets At Christmas Time

If your pet ingests glass, broken plastic, staples or other small, sharp objects, call your veterinarian.
In the meantime, you can give your dog supplemental fiber in the form of whole wheat or other high-fiber bread, canned pumpkin or Metamucil, any of which can help bulk up the stools the help the foreign material pass through the dogs digestive system. Dosages depend on the size of the dog.

Christmas And Pets

Holiday parties and gatherings can mean lots of stress for your pet the hustle and bussel This might be fun for you, but not for your dog.and can be a very upsetting  Lots of people in your home can result in injury and or  stress for your dog. A large crowd is not the place for most dogs, so consider keeping her/him in a crate or quiet room - especially if she/he is the nervous type. If she/he is comfortable around a smaller group, just make sure you set down the ground rules with your company: don't feed the dog and keep the doors closed! Many pets get loose and run off during the holiday season. so be sure your pet is wearing a collar with name address and phone number on it, this is especially important during the holiday season. it is so sad that  many dogs run off and become lost during the holiday season.
